Michael Maffucci

Michael Maffucci is a third-generation Long Island mover who followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, who were prominent movers in Lynbrook, New York, for over 50 years. His father, Michael Maffucci Sr., was a pioneer in the industry, serving as president of the New York State Movers and Warehousemen’s Association in the 1960s.

Michael grew up in the moving business and learned early on that honesty, integrity, and efficiency were the keys to business success.

He attended Chaminade High School, and after graduating from Fairfield University, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant and manager at Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC).

Today, he owns and is president of Verity Van Lines, Inc., one of Long Island’s largest and most trusted privately-owned moving and storage companies.

Following in his father’s footsteps — including attending the same high school and college — Michael Maffucci III has been immersed in the moving business since he was young. After graduation, he held the same position as his father at PWC, and finally joined the Verity team in early 2023. He brings enthusiasm, business savvy and a keen understanding of moving challenges to every move. Moreover, it’s common to see him moving boxes and directing operations on the job site.
